Endeavor Learning Center is a vision brought about by its owners specializing in child development
and having personal experience with children. We believe in teaching the whole child, taking into
account the child's environment, community, and development.



Penny McGaughey
Co-owner, Co-director

Penny is co-owner and co-director for Endeavor Learning Center along with Donna. Penny graduated from The University of Cincinnati with an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with young children and been in the field of child care for over 20 years. For four years Penny worked exclusively with infants and their parents. Her vision is to provide a loving, nurturing place where parents can leave their precious ones with confidence.

Donna Phillips
Co-owner, Co-director

Donna graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an attention in special education. This degree uniquely enables her to teach children from infancy through third grade. Donna’s professional experience includes teaching first grade and toddlers before becoming the assistant director of a prominent childcare facility. She is committed to instilling the early childhood philosophies within all of her work and relationships.

Allison Uhrig
Assistant Director

Allison is the Assistant Director for Endeavor Learning Center. She earned a bachelor of science in education from Kent State University. In addition to teaching elementary school for two years, she has dedicated over six years to a career in the field of Early Childhood Education, working primarily with infants. Allison’s goal at Endeavor Learning Center is to help create a "home away from home," where children can develop an appreciation for nature, learning, themselves, and each other.
