Your Baby’s Home Away From Home

InfantWe recognize that there are multiple factors to evaluate when deciding who cares for your baby away from home. At Endeavor, we pride ourselves on being a complete childcare facility, attentive to all the needs of both you and your child.

Under the care of our co-owner Penny McGaughey, infant childcare services at Endeavor provide the loving, nurturing, and educational environment your child needs.

Features:

  • Small Class Size
  • REI Approach to infant Care (Read More Below)
  • Infants are not confined in any equipment. They are held during feedings, and as much as possible.
  • Use of basic sign language in addition to spoken words to communicate
  • A private area is provided where mothers can nurse their babies.
  • Detailed notes about the day (feedings, diapering, napping, and any other important information) are logged on the Infant Daily Sheet.

Enhancing Development and Well-Being

We follow the RIE (Resources for Infant Educators) Approach to infant care, an approach that provides your infant with tools to enhance their development and well-being.

RIE Highlights:

  • Basic trust in the child to be an initiator, an explorer and a self-learner.
  • An environment for the child that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing.
  • Time for uninterrupted play.
  • Freedom to explore and interact with other infants.
  • Consistency, clearly defined limits and expectations to develop discipline.

For more information on why Endeavor is the best choice for your family, we encourage you to read the Infant Classroom Blog or schedule a visit at our facility. For Penny’s biography and contact information, please view her teacher page.
