Miss Donna
Title: Co-Owner, Toddler Teacher
Education: Early Childhood Preschool/Primary Bachelor Degree
Years of Experience: 11
Hometown: Cincinnati Ohio
Brief Bio: I was born in Maine, but raised in Cincinnati. I currently live in Mason, Ohio with my husband, son Timothy, and our dog and cat. I camp, visit parks, museums, and the zoo as often as I can. The outdoors has always been an important part of my childhood and I want to give that same experience to the children I teach.
Why did you decide to become a teacher? I have always enjoyed spending time with children. They teach me so much and are very intriguing individuals. My learning has not stopped and I am always learning more about children and how they develop.
How would you describe your relationships with students? Respectful. If children do not feel respected then the relationship between yourself and the child can not be strong, therefore you lose out on knowing the child you are taking care of.
How would you describe your teaching style? I have a certain pattern that I stick to, whether it is a daily routine or the way I speak to the children. I have learned consistency is key to teaching toddlers. Toddlers have so much change going on inside of them, knowing that I can be a constant for them helps them grow into confident individuals.
What’s the best thing about teaching at Endeavor? Knowing that I am surrounded by peers that have the same ideals that I have.
What are your hobbies/passions? Currently the only hobby that I currently have is watching movies. I do have a passion for the arts and would like to get back into painting.
What is your favorite quote? "Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
